Brampton Estate Fun Day
Residents from the Bampton estate in Perry Vale, Forest Hill were the first recipients to benefit from Lewisham Tenant’s Fund Good Neighbourhood Small Grants Scheme.
The event held on Saturday 20 August was managed by local resident, Chantelle Longville of Newbridge Point and was attended by over 70 residents, young and old. The event had face painting, soft play, races, bouncy castles, prizes, popcorn, candy floss and delicious West Indian cuisine and music entertainment.
Chantelle stated that ‘This event was a great day and enjoyed by all that attended. It was great seeing residents taking part at the event. I would like to thank Lewisham Tenants Fund for supporting this event and we hope they can continue to fund another event on the estate next year’.
The Good Neighbourhood Small Grants Scheme is aimed for Lewisham council tenants that live in neighbourhoods that do not have a Tenants and Residents Association (TRA). So if you want to do a similar project like Bampton or have a project idea that will provide clear benefits for council tenants. Contact the administrato@l-t-f.co.uk
