Honor Oak’s Got Talent !

The Honor Oak Tenants and Residents Association (HOTRA) will be hosting their Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday 7 July 2016 at the Honor Oak Community Centre.

This year they are making their AGM very special and incorporating a talent show open to the community, of all ages and talents. Winning prizes are;

• 1st prize £100 Giftcard

• 2nd prize £50.00 Giftcard

• 3rd prize £25.00 Giftcard

With support by local charity, Elevating Success, HOTRA will be electing new committee officers at their AGM for 2017/18. So if you are a resident of the Honor Oak estate and wish to enter the talent show please contact elevatingsuccess@co.uk. Alternatively just come along to the AGM at 7pm and enjoy an evening of entertainment, celebrating local talent with support of special guest performances.

If you wish to play a vital role in making the Honor Oak estate a better place to live, you can nominate or be elected to the following office positions of;

• Chairperson,

• Vice Chairperson,

• Treasurer and Secretary at the AGM

To qualify for any of these positions, you need to be;

• a resident of the Honor Oak estate,

• aged 18 and over,

• have a passion for community development,

• possess flair and determination to improve conditions and tackle local issues for residents of the area,

• be a community leader that represents and promote the interests of all the tenants and residents living in the area

• Work in partnership with other agencies to achieve the aims and objectives of HOTRA

In addition to the above, there are non-committee positions of block representativs and/or a Lewisham Homes Resident Engagement Panel representative for HOTRA.
