The Talent’s Bright At Honor Oak !
On Friday 7 July, the Honor Oak Tenants and Residents Association (HOTRA) was blown away by five young people that entered their Special AGM and Talent Show.
From singers to a streetdancer, the audience was graced with the talent of

Jahmari, aged 10, a streetdancer from Lewisham and the winner of the talent show. Jahmari gave a confident dance performance and had the audience up on their feet.

the bluesy vocals of local teenager, Tia Morgan, with her rendition of Emili Sande’s song, ‘Read All About It’
-
Demi Jade, singer brought the house down with her rendition of Whitney Houston song, ‘I Have Nothing’
-
Lante Yan’Kyaa got the audience waving their arms to R Kelly’s hit song, ‘I believe I Can fly’
-
The talent was topped with teenage rappers, Shomari and Kash Honey


The show included special guest performances from opening acts, Lewisham Homes and the Albany, street dance crew Love2Dance and Aaron Augustus from IYDC.
Khajidi, a singer from New Cross sang Beyonce’s Dreamgirl hit song, Listen and had the audience up on their feet.
Closing the show was inspirational and motivational poet and speaker, Samuel Speak who talked about giving back to the community and making a difference.
HOTRA has shown how an AGM can be made so special by bringing entertainment and encouraging communities to be and get involved.
